The number of panels required depend on the amount of appliances that need to be powered. For smaller appliances, this could range from 4 panels to 6 panels. For businesses it could run from 16 to 20. In order to find out how many panels are essential for your specific needs, we carry out an assessment for you.
Solar panels have an expected life span of 10 to 15 years. While batteries life span varies according to the type. For example, Gel Batteries can last between 3 to 5 years, whilst Lithium batteries last between 7 to 10 years. We supply both types but advice clients to go Lithium as they lasts longer.
Using a solar inverter as a backup or complete off-grid (solar only no utility power) has pros of saving and reducing monthly bills drastically with the added advantage of being clean energy. It also guarantees an uninterrupted power supply.
Solar panels are manufactured as light weight as possible (on average, a big panel could weigh 23Kg). This means that almost every modern roof would manage to withstand quite a number of them. Additionally, solar panels can be mounted on the ground too, provided there are no obstacles like trees that could block the sunlight.
With the new technology in the solar industry, the PVS does not entirely depend on the sun intensity. This makes it possible to for the system to generate electricity even in the rainy season, however, at a reduced amount.
The mostly used battery types are Gel and Lithium batteries, with Lithium been the most expensive one. This is because it has a longer life span than that of the Gel batteries. Additionally, the type of batteries to go for is dependent on how big your system is. For systems above 20KW, we recommend choosing Lithium while, for smaller systems such as a homes, we recommend the Gel batteries.
The installation process has many stages, starting from planning, to execution. A normal installation procedure for a house takes about a day or two to complete. We strive to accomplish all installations in a very efficient and effective manner.
After everything has been set and your system is up and running, commissioning of a system to you takes place. At this stage, we walk you through the whole procedure including what to expect, what to do and what not to do. If you happen to be stuck, feel free to reach out to us and we will be able to run you through the query or concern.
Once a fault occurs especially with the backup system, the inverter will display a fault number or an error code. In this situation, you must call the solar technician and provide them with the code or number displayed. If during the phone call, the problem is not resolved, the team will come on site to resolve the problem at hand.
This depends on the location of the solar panels. If the area is exposed to dust, then, cleaning the top of the panels has to be done every two months. However, if this is not the case, six months is the ideal time for cleaning the panels. This maintenance is part of the servicing offered by our team of dedicated professionals thus giving you exceptional after sale services.
Switching to solar energy can help you save on electricity bills. This is because, once you invest in a backup power system, you will have nothing to be billed for.
